Update.July 28, 2016

I was your mind about friend that I need to update my blog.

I've been traveling pretty hard since I left home last Thursday afternoon. I rode a little over 1800 miles the first 36 hours I was gone. Made it to Utah and met with some friends also from North Carolina in a couple who lives there who graciously hosted us for the evening.

All Sunday morning we left Utah in route to Southern California, the Ladera Ranch area to stay with some other friends.

On Monday we started our trip up the Pacific Coast Highway. We met up  it with other RoadGlider riders at the rock store on the Mulholland Highway just north of LA.

Monday was a long day. We had a little difficulty earlier in the morning, but that's a story for another time. We dealt with lots of fog and ash from a large forest  fire along the highway. We wound up  rolling into Monterey After Dark somewhere around 10 PM.

Tuesday was a great day we rode up the ghost highway from Monterey to Fort Bragg. This included an awesome stop at the Golden gate Bridge we stop on both sides and took lots of photos.

On Wednesday we left Fort Bragg in route to Yreka California. This route took us to the redwood national park in over several mountain passes with high temperatures throughout the day.

Today we were Road for Mark Yreka to be in Oregon we visited crater Lake national Park and it was an awesome day once again hot temperatures.

Tomorrow we're heading toward Hells Canyon and enterprise Oregon. I will try to update more frequently and add some photos to this post..

Long 36 hours

I live Gastonia yesterday around 1:30 PM Eastern standard time, and I arrive at Grand Junction Colorado tonight around 11 PM mountain time.

Trying to get you out with some friends of mine tomorrow. Each year we have a gathering of road glide riders. This year's gathering is going to be in Canmore  Canada will be visiting Banff national Park.

There is a group of riders meeting at the Rock Store Muholland Highway just north of LA on the 25th to ride up the Pacific Coast Highway and take a journey all the way up to Banff.

I will try to. Update this blog daily once we start up the Pacific Coast Highway.

For now if you're a couple pictures from today.

Better late than never.

My wife Robin fell and broke her shoulder last week. That has delayed my departure for my trip to Canada.

She had successful shoulder surgery this morning, my son and my daughter in law will be taking care of her while I'm gone. So now I'm getting ready to leave on my trip hope to make it to St. Louis tonight.

Hoping to be in Washington Utah by the night of the 23rd to meet up with the group that I'll be riding  up the Pacific Coast Highway.

Follow along as I journey to Banff national Park. I will post short notice about my day and hopefully some pictures as I go along the way.
